Grade
Listening to age-appropriate story books, students in kindergarten
through 2nd grade will experience a day on the dairy farm or
discover the importance of foods made from milk for strong
bones and teeth. Lessons are available to classrooms on a first-come,
first-served basis. Contact WDC@wmmb.org to see if a session
can be scheduled at your school.

Nutrition
Expedition Programs
|
The
National Dairy
Council® has
nutrition
education programs
for second and fourth
grade elementary
classrooms.
These
five-food-group-based
programs are teacher-tested
and support the USDA's
MyPyramid food guidance
system. The Nutrition
Expedition programs
supplement the Health
and Language Arts
curricula. Materials
include teaching
lessons, blackline
masters and games
to get students directly
involved.

Building
a Healthy Wisconsin
|
4th
Grade Only
WMMB regional program managers may be available to visit your
fourth grade classroom to lead the interactive Building a Healthy
Wisconsin classroom lesson. The session highlights the impact
of agriculture to the state and agricultural products' contribution
to a healthy diet. Lively activities teach that the state's agriculture
industry, especially dairy farming, is vital to both the economic
and nutritional health of Wisconsinites. Lessons are
available only to
4th grade classrooms on a first-come, first-served
